February 17th-23rd 2025

Norway in winter is wonderful, it might even be the best season to visit Norway. Norgesskolen Winter provides fantastic surroundings to learn more of the Norwegian language and about the Norwegian winter culture. Winter activities are important for Norwegians, and people carrying skis on trams and metros is a common sighting - even in the capital city, Oslo.

The Norwegian winter

Norwegian winters are active and fun! Here you can enjoy a real winter, with snow and ice all throughout the winter months. Winter days are known to be short. In the Oslo area you can expect between six and eight hours of daylight during the winter months. Around Oslo, snowfall is common and the average winter temperatures are just below freezing.
